In January last year, we launched our 2021 fundraising campaign, ‘Close the Covid Gap’. With Covid-19 exposing and exacerbating inequalities in our society, we set an ambitious target of raising £250,000 over the course of the year, to combat the lost learning opportunities, cancelled internships and significant financial hardship faced by underrepresented students across the UK.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to raise £241,683 towards the campaign, equivalent to over 96% of a stretching target! The funds raised in our #CloseTheCovidGap campaign will be used in line with our regional expansion strategy, which focuses on supporting more students from social mobility coldspots outside of London, including areas that have been hit particularly hard by Covid-19. Amongst other things, they will create an extra 140+ places on our intensive programme of support in 2022.

With the effects of the pandemic still being felt throughout the world, we need to redouble our efforts this year to ensure that we Close the Covid Gap! Watch this space to hear about our plans for 2022, and how you can get involved.

Be the catalyst that accelerates upReach’s growth and transforms social mobility. The upReach Development Advisory Board was established in 2018 to enable individuals to support our mission to boost social mobility in the UK. Each Board member is invited to help us develop our long term strategy, and commit to making an annual contribution to the Charity for at least two years. We are very grateful for the investment in upReach that these individuals have made which has enabled us to accelerate our growth: Anush Newman, Managing Partner, JMAN Group Brian Gilvary, CFO, BP plc Ed Shuckburgh, Director, Montagu Jennifer Chamandi Boghossian, Shoe Designer and ex-Banker.

A regular contribution helps upReach fund our ongoing programmes of support. Join our Members donating £3 per month to help us support even more young people to achieve their career goals. All regular donors can receive our "upReach News" Newsletter.

upReach Supporters donate £10 per month towards the costs of our hard-working team of Programme Coordinators providing individual support to each upReach Associate. Supporters are recognised in the upReach Annual Report.

A regular donation of £25 per month allows us to provide our intensive programme of employability support to one additional student. upReach Sponsors are helping us towards our target of supporting 2,500 students per year by 2022.

Donations go towards our work supporting high potential students from less-advantaged backgrounds to access the top professions. If you'd like to make a one-off donation to upReach, you can do so through CAF Donate by clicking below.

Partner with us on specific social mobility events and workshops or scholarships that would fully fund a cohort from a particular university or career sector.

Ask your employer if they operate a Payroll giving scheme. If so, you can send a donation to UpReach automatically each month through your pay each month.
