The independent judging panel will select the award winners from a shortlist, with the exception of the Employer and University Initiative Awards – the winners of which will be voted for by upReach Associates. The panel will comprise:

  • Prof. Sir Leslie Ebdon CBE DL, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bedfordshire and Director of Fair Access to Higher Education
  • Andy Ratcliffe, CEO, Impetus-PEF

upReach are delighted to be working with organisations and individuals who share our vision of a society in which everyone has the opportunity to realise their potential, regardless of social background.

John Craven, Chief Executive of upReach, commented:

“The Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the incredible achievements of students from disadvantaged backgrounds from all over the UK. By showcasing how they have succeeded against the odds, we provide important role models that inspire others. I’m very grateful to our sponsors, in particular Bank of America Merrill Lynch, without whom the event would not have been possible.”
