REAL is a research and evidence-based tool that adjusts students’ grades by taking into account fourteen indicators of disadvantage such as school performance decile, and free school meal eligibility.
REAL has so far been tested by three leading consulting firms, 2020 Delivery, North Highland and JMAN Group, and has since been made available to all employers free of charge to have the maximum impact on social mobility. The move ensures contextual grades are available to all firms, regardless of size and budget.
